John Langer, MBA

John assists individuals, professionals, and business owners in developing and implementing their long term financial plans which include wealth accumulation, retirement planning and income distribution. John's individual, personal attention to clients is a distinguishing hallmark of his professional business style. He has an uncompromising focus on client financial objectives, and building longstanding client relationships.

John's primary focus is helping clients establish and work toward their financial goals. He does this through his friendly interaction with clients along with his strong classical education in investments and finance. John fosters a clientele who are serious about financial planning and recognizes that wealth accumulation is most often a function of hard work, diligent savings and a prudent investment plan.

John is a lifelong Buffalo resident. He holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance (with honors) from Canisius College, and a MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester Simon Business School. He is a past adjunct Professor of Financial Planning, Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits, and Investment Planning in Medaille College’s CFP®, MBA and Undergraduate Programs. He has taught in the Advanced Programs at D’Youville College and the Center for Financial Training.

John’s background includes over 35 years of financial and management experience with Buffalo Savings Bank/Goldome, Marine Midland Mortgage Corporation (now HSBC), and Citibank. Also, he was Chief Operating Officer with Title Network, Ltd. a WNY based title insurance business. He has been with Jensen, Marks, Langer & Vance LLC and its predecessor company since 2000.
